A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO,
CALIFORNIA APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE MEADOW PARK
PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT AND RELATED
BUDGETARY APPROPRIATIONS.
WHEREAS, the City's 2016-17 Financial and Capital Improvement Plan Supplement
designated $130,000 toward the Meadow Park Pedestrian Bridge Replacement project, and;
WHEREAS, the approved 2017-19 Financial and Capital Improvement Plan designated
an additional $75,000 to the project: and
WHEREAS, on February 5, 2019, the Council authorized the invitation for bids and the
lowest bid received for the project was $199,164, bringing the total project budget needed to
$271,164 and requiring additional funding to proceed, and;
WHEREAS, staff identified the Sinsheimer Tennis Court Entrance Hardscape project as
a source for the needed funding as this project was deferred due to insufficient funding, and;
WHEREAS, the Meadow Park Pedestrian Bridge Replacement is a high priority project,
warranting the use of funding from the Sinsheimer Tennis Court Entrance Hardscape project, and:
WHEREAS, staff would request to replenish funding for the Sinsheimer Tennis Court
Entrance Hardscape project when this project is ready to proceed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. The budget of $66,200 for the Sinsheimer Tennis Court Entrance Hardscape
project will be moved to the Meadow Park Pedestrian Bridge Replacement project as it is a high
priority City project.

SECTION 2. A funding request to replenish the Sinsheimer Tennis Court Entrance
Hardscape project will be brought forward at a future date when the project is ready to proceed.
On motion of Council Member Christianson, seconded by Vice Mayor Pease, and on the
following vote:
AYES: Council Members Christianson, Gomez, Stewart and
Vice Mayor Pease and Mayor Harmon
NOTE: None
ABSENT: None
The foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted on September 17, 2019.
