This will make the implementation of a bike share program in the future much more effective as well as making a bigger impact on the city's goal for multi modal transportation. Its also noted in Staff's report that access to a bicycle here is not an impediment to cycling as a last mile solution. In addition, I would ask that council also treats any for profit bike share programs the same as other small businesses in town, and not waive permit fees, and ensure that they pay for the space they use up while the bicycles are parked and so on. I for one, can not park the shop van on the sidewalk and set up shop for free. I would also suggest that council sets and enforces boundaries on where dockless bikes maybe be left as well as ensuring that any time bikes are left on private property they are promptly removed by the company.
