Subject: Please approve Parking Structure-SLO REP theater project
To the Honorable Mayor Heidi Harmon and Members of the San Luis Obispo City
Council:
As the owner of real property in the City of San Luis Obispo, I support approval of the
proposed Parking Structure and SLO REP project. This is a creative way for the City
to support the arts and address the critical need for parking downtown. SLO REP has
been an important part of the City’s arts community for decades. It has outgrown its

current location, which limits both the kinds of programs it can present and the number
of people who can attend. The new theater in the proposed location will draw more
people to downtown restaurants and other businesses. It will also help build SLO’s
reputation as the cultural center of the Central Coast.
I hope the City will take this opportunity to work with this group for the benefit of our
community as a whole.
Please approve this project.
