Subject:SLO REP, November 12
October 29, 2019
Dear Mayor Harmon and members of the city council,
It was with regret that I learned that the Palm Nipomo Parking Structure/SLO REP project was not in
the November 5 agenda. As an avid fan of live theatre, a SLO REP supporter/donor and Chair of
the Capital Campaign, I was all poised to speak and was eagerly anticipating doing so. Alas, I will
be out of town on the 12th. I hate to miss what I hope will be the culmination of 10 years of hard
work, but look forward to a good report from my friends.
In the 31 years I have lived in San Luis Obispo, I have not been as excited about a project as I am
about the new Theatre and parking lot. I see this as a legacy project that will positively impact
downtown SLO, as well as the entire county for years to come. Your “yes” vote will make that
happen.
Sincerely,
Catherine Luckett
Chair, SLO REP Capital Campaign
