Mayor Harmon and City Council:
Please require a more serious review of keeping the Heyd Adobe House on the site.
After hearing and reviewing historical facts related to the Heyd Adobe and learning that it could become
part of the Theater or a separate small use I am asking for further review.
As the growth of our city moves forward and new structures are created, leaving historical markers
leave present and future generations a look into the past and may someday be a solution for the future.
Caring for historical landmarks is important. We must end the throwaway attitude, protect and preserve
when possible. Reduce unnecessary destruction and added pollution by building when it is not
necessary. San Luis Obispo has an important history that is worth sharing. There may be ways to use
these building for the good of our community. .
Removal of the adobe will damage and reduce the historic character and value of this area.
Retention on the site is important to keep some of the historic context of this area.
Thank you,
Sandra Marshall
