Dear Mr. Ferris,
In your attached Public Records request you asked for information concerning the SLO Fire Department
Operations Manual rather than specific documentation. Following is the information that I was able to gather:
1. Question - “When first written and by whom?”
Answer - Unfortunately we don’t have any information on when the document was first authored or by
whom. It is an evolving document.
2. Question – “When last updated and by whom?”
3. Question – “Who is currently in charge of updating the manual?”
2/3 Answer – The Fire Dept. Operations Committee makes the majority of updates to the manual which is
always under review. Emergency Response Battalion Commander Hais and Operations Chief Alforque
approve updates prior to inclusion in the manual.
4. Question – “Who is currently responsible for maintain and updating the website?”
Answer – The Fire Department pages of the City website are maintained by the department
Administrative Assistant, Mika Timpano.
