Dear Kyle,
Would you please forward this email to the Architectural Review Commission? This email
pertains to Item #2 on their June 1, 2020 meeting where they will be reviewing a mixed-use
project to be located at 1144 Chorro Street.
I strongly oppose the proposed building height of 75-feet, where 50-feet is normally allowed in
the Downtown Commercial zone. Furthermore, this proposal is clearly intended for a post-
pandemic world where high-density, dormitory-style living with narrow corridors, elevator
access, common kitchens, shared laundries and minute living accommodations (i.e., 36 studio
units ranging between 318 sq.ft. to 501 sq.ft.) can once again occur.
I urge you to continue this project with direction.
