Subject:Public Comment on Proposed 6 Story Building on Chorro, from
Higuera to Marsh
When will the sun shine on Higuera? I am concerned that our main street will be in shadow for a
majority of sunlight hours from October to March each year. Please look carefully at the Building
Shadow Analysis. Tall buildings interfere with visual warmth and color. Light and color enhance the
pedestrian experience. Historic District designation is designed to maintain integrity of the original
concept. Limiting height is important. It contributes to the small town feel of San Luis Obispo.
