Hi,
My name is Kaitlyn Shields. In light of all the events that have happened we ask that in today’s review of The 2020
through 2021 budget you re locate some of the money meant for the police department to other departments. These
include community policing, Community development and other specialized diversity and inclusivity programs.
We believe that a small request will start to make a big change in the overall racial injustices that our country faces on
the daily. Though this cannot fix the problem at hand we can begin to start to move our city in the right direction.
