Dear Council members,
I am Sam Niederberger a student at cal poly SLO, and I have a vested interest in our community. I have seen the videos
of police in Slo teargassing peaceful protest, and I have seen the patterns of racism within Slo county.
Therefore I suggest that you assign more funds toward social services especially around equality in SLO. We are in the
whitest county in SLO, and as a result minority citizens face many more hardships and discrimination. If the money has
to come from a different area I suggest you take it out of the police budget.
