YOUR ATTENTION IS APPRECIATED:
Just a quick note to encourage you to open up the lower courts at French Park. As a regular player, I have
seen our courts overrun by South County players who are currently dominating the system on the upper 3
courts—making it very difficult to play. If we had sufficient courts, we could alleviate this issue. We simply
have a huge interest and not enough courts.
As the fastest growing sport in America, we need to consider that while we are waiting for 30 minutes each
time to get on a court, with numerous others standing around—the lower tennis court sits empty. It can
accommodate 4 Pickleball groups of 4—16 players at a time. PLEASE come see for yourselves. There are nets
already on the sidelines of the tennis court and it’s ready for play.
There are numerous tennis courts in this City and County and at this time only 3 pickleball courts. It’s simply
not sufficient. Pickleball is a very healthy acitvity for all ages and is helping many of us get out of isolation. It
is a safe sport for social distancing.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and consideration,
