ATC Committee Members,
The draft report on SLOCOG’s 2020 update to the Bicycle Use Survey was just posted this afternoon as an agenda item
th
for the upcoming August 5 Board meeting (link below). I think the content would be really useful for the ATC to
review—it includes updated percentages for the bike behavior cohorts for the county (strong and fearless/enthused and
confident/interested but concerned/no way no how) and lots of other interesting data and comparisons. Adam let me
know that the current emergency order precludes the ATC from reviewing this report at a meeting, but perhaps post-
COVID we could have a presentation and discussion on the findings. In the meantime, we can still review the report
individually. The meeting itself is also open to the public via webinar, but this is a consent item so it won’t be discussed
unless someone pulls it. The agenda item also includes an update on SLOCOG’s Active Transportation Partnership
Program, which is separate from the survey but also relevant to the ATC in my opinion.
