Experience and Qualifications: As a City of San Luis Obispo resident, I watched as every other city in our county passed rent and mortgage relief bills. I watched as we allowed our Police
Department and DA to arrest political dissenters in a way our nation abhors. I watched as our local businesses were left with the option of reopening unsafely or hemorrhaging money
while still losing valued employees.
I tried calling, emailing, being as present as possible in these times of distancing. I saw how flippantly the current council ignores our voices. I am left with only one option if I’m
ready to make a difference.
The pandemic we’re in isn’t going away anytime soon. The City of San Luis Obispo needs leaders who can function effectively while virtual, listen to its residents, and press for economic
policy that helps people and small businesses. I can be that leader if you’ll have me.
