This session will review issues to discuss and incorporate into telecommuting policies for both exempt and non-exempt employees and the overlapping need to meet and confer on this subject for represented employees. Unfortunately, the experiences are traumatizing for many children and young adults, leading to a vicious cycle where local public costs increase and public safety decreases. This trauma is exacerbated by COVID-19, racial injustice, and violence. In this session, we discuss lessons we can integrate into local service planning to achieve better results, and reduce costs. This session is a part of our virtual series to support dialogue with experts on how we can address these critically important issues.
