SLO Pickleball Club has donated two high quality pickleball net systems to the City for use at the French Park multi sport court (tennis/pickleball). These cost $1500 each (total value is $3000) and both nets are currently being used everyday at the court since the completion of the donation agreement. These are professional grade nets which are made to last, resistant to vandalism, and are basically weather proof. These nets are so good they were used last year at the USA National Pickleball Tournament. They are a vast improvement over the current $150 nets that are saggy and wear out very quickly. Playing with these nets makes the user experience almost as good as playing on a permanent court. The City owned temporary nets at the French Park courts have become very worn from daily use and being outdoors in the weather 24/7. They were being used daily and ready to be retired. We really want to help keep this facility available and open to everyone and have made this donation that will benefit all pickleball players in the City. Here is a link to the net with more details https://nationalsportsproducts.com/product/premier-pps-22-sq-portable-pickleball-system This is a gift to the City and it's residents. In these times of tight budgets and high demand for services, SLO Pickleball Club is happy to help out and make this donation. This will definitely make pickleball a better experience for those who play in San Luis Obispo. Regards, SLO Pickleball Club Board of Directors 1 2 Douglas Premier Portable Pickleball Net System  The Douglas system has a steel cable that runs along the top and a heavy duty net similar to a tennis or permanent pickleball net. They are made out of thick square tubing that gives proper support to the net. This vastly improves the quality of the player experience over the existing temporary nets.    These nets will last longer, attract more players, and make pickleball more fun for everyone.      These are replacing nets primarily designed for limited temporary use. The top band on these is a piece of ½” webbing that is difficult to make taught. The frame is made out of thin tubing easily bent by misuse.    3
