RE: Public Records Act Request
To Whom It May Concern,
Pursuant to my rights under the California Public Records Act (Government Code Section 6250 et seq.),I ask to obtain a copy of
the following, which I understand to be held by your agency:
-Any police incident reports and/or missing persons reports related to Edward Zamora Giron (DOB
1/10/1986), excluding records related to May 10, 2021 officer involved shooting
-Any records of communications from the public to the department related to Edward Zamora Giron, and
any responses if applicable
-Any records of requests to check the welfare of Edward Giron
-Any records of communication with Caroline Wichman related to Edward Giron
-Any written communications to/from Officer Joshua Bywater, Officer Adam Stanke or any other officer
related to Edward Giron
I ask for a determination on this request within 10 days of your receipt of it, and an even prompter reply if you can make that
determination without having to review the record in question.
Please provide a signed notification citing the legal authorities on which you rely if you determine that any or all of the
information is exempt and will not be disclosed.
I respectfully request records be provided in digital format if possible, or I ask that you notify me of any duplication costs
exceeding $10 before you duplicate the records so that I may decide which records I want copied. If any records become
available before others, I respectfully request they be provided as they become available.

Hi, Kevin. Sorry to do this, but I'm hoping to add three specific records to my request if possible. I'd respectfully like to
request:
- Any record of a report made to SLOPD by The Pab Climbing Gym regarding Edward Giron Jun 21-25, 2020.
- Any records of communication by Officer Matthew Sanchez regarding missing persons report for Edward Giron,
including 11.6.20 response to a member of the public.
- Any written communications between Officer Joshua Bywater and John Klevins regarding Edward Giron, specifically
July 11, 2020
Can we just add these to this request or would you prefer I file a separate one?
