Regular Meeting of the Active Transportation Committee
CALL TO ORDER
A Regular Meeting of the San Luis Obispo Active Transportation Committee was called to order
on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. via teleconference, by Chair Roberts.
ROLL CALL
Present: Committee Members Thomas Arndt, Timothy Jouet, Briana Martenies, Russell Mills,
Audrey Ogden and Jonathan Roberts (chair)
Absent: Donette Dunaway
Staff: Active Transportation Manager Adam Fukushima, and Recording Secretary Lareina

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Review Minutes of the Active Transportation Committee Meeting of March 18, 2021:
ACTION: UPON MOTION BY COMMITTEE MEMBER ARNDT, SECONDED BY
COMMITTEE MEMBER MILLS, CARRIED 6-0-1 ( DUNAWAY ABSENT), to approve the
Minutes of the Active Transportation Committee Meeting of March 18, 2021, as presented.

2. SLOCOG Regional Active Transportation Plan and Regional Transportation Plan
San Luis Obispo Council of Governments (SLOCOG) staff members Stephen Hanamaikai
and John DiNunzio provided an update on the Regional Active Transportation Plan and
Minutes – Active Transportation Committee Meeting of May 20, 2021 Page 2
Regional Transportation Plan efforts.

ACTION: UPON MOTION BY COMMITTEE MEMBER JOUET, SECONDED BY
COMMITTEE MEMBER ROBERTS, CARRIED 6-0-1 (DUNAWAY ABSENT), to elect
Committee Member Thomas Arndt for Chair.
ACTION: UPON MOTION BY COMMITTEE MEMBER MARTENIES, SECONDED
BY COMMITTEE MEMBER ROBERTS, CARRIED 6-0-1 (DUNAWAY ABSENT), to
elect Committee Member Briana Martinies as Vice-Chair.
INFORMATION ITEM
4. Anholm Neighborhood Greenway Status Update
(Committee Member Martenies recused herself on this topic at 7:03 p.m. due to a conflict of
interest due to property she owns in the area. She muted her audio and turned off her video camera.)
Active Transportation Manager Fukushima provided a presentation and responded to committee
inquiries in regards to the Anholm Neighborhood Greenway update.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:51 p.m. The next Regular Active Transportation Committee
meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 6:00 p.m., by teleconference.
