Dear Parks and Rec and Council Members,
I am sad to see that SLO Parks and Rec have bulldozed the jumps behind Costco. I understand they why - they were a
liability, they were illegal, they were encroaching in the Irish Hills Open Space. My frustration with the bulldozing was
that the public was not notified and that no alternative space has been allocated. I realize that in the master plan there
is a potential for 3 areas to be developed into jump/bmx/pump tracks, but when will that happen - 5 years, 10 years, 15
years from now?
You have created a wonderful dirt parking lot that definitely didn't do any more damage than the kids had when they
created the jumps (that was sarcasm by the way).
