To whom it may concern,
My name is Cody. I am writing this to express my disappointment in the city of SLO for bulldozing the riding area at
Costco gas station. Being a lifelong local I’ve been riding there for over 15 years. Now I take my kids, nieces and nephews
there to practice and grow their love for the outdoors and riding bikes. With this being gone the only other real option is
Morro Bay bike park which is great but very small and because it’s so small a lot of the time it’s very crowded since city’s
keep destroying the only places for people to ride features. It seems like as time passes more and more riding areas are
disappearing and it’s sad to think that when my kids get older they won’t have any open land left to use in this area.
Riding bikes is a great form of exercise and promotes a healthy lifestyle. I hope that the city can come to up with a
solution to either let the people rebuild the Costco area or make a legitimate riding area open to the public.
