Dear Parks and Recreation Advisory Body, I am thrilled to hear that you will be discussing the construction of a bike
pump track for our town. Our family spends a few weeks each year in Durango, Colorado with our families where there
are two pump tracks that get heavy use from the the community and serve as an important recreation outlet for the kids
in the county. We have always wanted SLO to develop a bike track (and recreation center) of its own.
It was brought to my attention that South Higuera is being targeted as the location for the track. I would strongly urge
you to consider a location closer to the downtown corridor with better access for kids. Proximity to Sinsheimer or
Laguna Lake Park would make it easier for kids and families to safely bike to the location and better enjoy the facility.
Thank you again for considering this matter. I am so excited my daughter will have a bike track in town.
