Ladies and Gentlemen of the Local Parks and Recreation Advisory Board- The city is currently creating it's Master Plan for Parks and Recreation expenditures for the next 20 years. Despite the fact that Sinsheimer's restroom facilities are in terrible condition and received the lowest rating of any facility in San Luis Obispo, there are no current plans to improve the restrooms. Every week during the spring and summer months the local public enjoys watching the SLO Blues play baseball on a beautiful field in a wonderful park stadium. The restrooms, however, are in horrible condition and do not support the thousands of people using them. Within a short time the floors of the restrooms are flooded. It is dangerous not knowing if the flooding contains human waste. I try not to use the restrooms because of this, but when I absolutely have a need, I find that I have to bring my own toilet paper and soap to wash my hands for safe and proper hygiene as often there are none supplied properly since the outdated set up does not support availability. Personal hand hygiene and cleanliness of our surroundings is a basic necessity for health and safety, I am urging a look at allocating funds for at a minimum correcting the plumbing issues, janitorial status, and updating the apparatus for holding toilet paper, hand soap, and hand dryers to make the restrooms safe for use. Thank you for your time. Debra Martin ????? 1
