SUBJECT: RECOMMENDATION FOR APPOINTMENTS TO THE PLANNING
COMMISSION
RECOMMENDATION
Confirm appointments to the Planning Commission of William Riggs, to complete an unexpired
term to March 31, 2016 and Ronald Malak, to complete an unexpired term to March 31, 2014.
DISCUSSION
Due to the resignation of Planning Commissioner Airlin Singewald effective June 27, 2013 and
resignation of Eric Meyer effective July 24, 2013, there were two unscheduled vacancies on the
Planning Commission. Staff posted the Notice of Unscheduled Vacancy as required and
advertised for interested citizens to apply. After interviewing all applicants, the Council
Subcommittee is pleased to recommend the appointments of William Riggs and Ronald Malak to
the Planning Commission. Mr. Riggs will serve a term expiring on March 31, 2016 and Mr.
Malak will serve a term expiring March 31, 2014
