SUBJECT: RECOMMENDATION FOR APPOINTMENT TO THE HOUSING
AUTHORITY
RECOMMENDATION
Confirm the appointment of Jay Beck to the Housing Authority to complete an unexpired term to
March 31, 2015.
DISCUSSION
Due to the resignation of Tom Sherman of the Housing Authority, effective July 16, 2013, there was
an unscheduled vacancy. Mr. Sherman’s term would have expired March 31, 2015.
Staff posted the Notice of Unscheduled Vacancy as required and advised for interested citizens to
apply. After interviewing all applicants, the Subcommittee consisting of Mayor Marx and Housing
Authority Dave Booker, is pleased to recommend the appointment of Jay Beck to the Housing
Authority, for a term to expire March 31, 2015.

Copy of the application has been provided to the City Council.
