HomeMy WebLinkAboutr 10496 SLOCOG regional discretionary funded projectsRESOLUTION NO. 10496 (2014 Series) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO COMMITTING THE NECESSARY LOCAL MATCH AND STATING THE ASSURANCE TO COMPLETE SLOCOG REGIONAL DISCRETIONARY FUNDED PROJECTS WHEREAS, The City of San Luis Obispo (herein referred to as City) has submitted an application to the San Luis Obispo Council of Governments ( SLOCOG) for $2.1 million for regional discretional federal transportation funding for the Park & Ride Facility at Calle Joqauin, RR Crossing Upgrades at Foothill & California, RailRoad Safety Trail (Taft to Pepper), LOVR Interchange, and intersection & corridor operational improvements (herein referred to as projects); and WHEREAS, The City has the financial capacity to complete, operate and maintain the projects; and WHEREAS, The City will ensure that funds required from other sources will be reasonably expected to be available in the time frame needed to carry out the projects; and WHEREAS, The City is authorized to execute and file a SLOCOG regional discretional funding application for the projects under the 2014 SLOCOG Programming Cycle. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of San Luis Obispo that by adopting this resolution, does hereby state: SECTION 1. The City will commit the necessary local matching funds; and SECTION 2. The City understands that the SLOCOG funding for the projects are fixed at the approved programmed amount, and that any cost increases must be funded by the City of San Luis Obispo from other funds, and that the City does not expect any cost increases to be funded with additional SLOCOG regional discretionary funding; and SECTION 3. The City understands the funding deadlines associated with these funds and will comply with the program implementation procedures set by both Caltrans Local Assistance and SLOCOG; and SECTION 4. Projects will be implemented as described in the complete application and in this resolution and, if approved, for the amount programmed in the FTIP; and SECTION 5. The City and the Projects will comply with the requirements as set forth in the program.
