Council Members,
I strongly urge you to oppose selling the cities RW to Edna Valley. We are in times of a historic drought and all credible
sources tell us it will only get worst. We are building more now than I have seen in my lifetime in SLO (37 years) and
relinquishing water rights would be shortsighted and downright foolish.
It’s unfortunate that the Edna Valley “agriculture” (I.e vineyards) need additional water but that’s not the city or it’s
residents problem to solve. Agreeing to this would be a disservice to our city and your constituents.
