RESOLUTION NO. 11389 (2023 SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS
OBISPO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING USE OF CAPITAL PROJECTS
RESERVE FUND TO SUPPORT THE SAN LUIS OBISPO CREEK BANK
REPAIR PROJECT, SPECIFICATION NUMBER 1000035
WHEREAS, in June of 2021, the City Council approved the 2021-23 Financial Plan
– Capital Improvement Program, which identified San Luis Obispo Creek Stabilization
project with a total budget of $392,272 to support implementation of the project; and
WHEREAS, to provide funding to support construction work for the Project, staff is
recommending the City Council approve use of $1,500,000 from the Capital Projects
Reserve Fund; and
WHEREAS, a balance of approximately $1,918,708 million is available from the
Capital Projects Reserve Fund; and
WHEREAS, there is a concurrent Capital Reserve Fund request of $200,000 for
the North Broad Street Neighborhood Park Project, subject to Council approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo as follows:

SECTION 1. The City Council authorizes staff to transfer $1,500,000 from the
Capital Project Reserve Fund to the San Luis Obispo Creek Bank Repair Project,
Specification No. 1000035.
Upon motion of Mayor Stewart, seconded by Council Member Vice Mayor Marx,
and on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Council Member Francis, Pease, Shoresman, Vice Mayor Marx, and
Mayor Stewart
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
The foregoing resolution was adopted this 7th day of February 2023.
