1. CALL TO ORDER
A Regular Meeting of the San Luis Obispo Promotional Coordinating Committee
was called to order on January 10, 2024 at 5:31 p.m. in the Council Hearing
Room at City Hall, 990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo, by Chair Welch.

To approve Consent Items 3a through 3f.

Support Local Marketing activities.

4.b PUBLIC RELATIONS, GIA SUPPORT, AND VISITOR SERVICES
QUARTER REPORT
Jim Dantona and Hollie West, SLO Chamber presented the second
quarter report on the Visitor Services Center, GIA, and Public Relations.

5. BUSINESS ITEMS
5.a CACP GRANT PROGRAM UPDATE APPROVAL
The Committee reviewed and approved the components of the grant
program for FY 24-25.

Action: By consensus, the Committee approved the 24-25 CACP Grant
Program and canceled the February 14, 2024 PCC meeting. A mandatory
informational session for interested applicants will be held on February 8,
2024.
5.b EAT LOCAL BONUS & SLO RESTAURANT WEEK UPDATES
Tourism & Community Promotions Manager Jacqui Clark-Charlesworth
presented an update on Eat Local Bonus and SLO Restaurant Week and
responded to inquiries.

5.c LUNAR NEW YEAR PROGRAM UPDATE
Amber Karson, Karson Butler Events presented the program plan for the
Lunar New Year Activation and responded to inquiries.

To approve funding of $15,000 from community placemaking and recovery
projects for a drone show at the end of the Lunar New Year Celebration.

Committee Member Pearce provided an update on items the TBID has
been working on.
6.d TOURISM PROGRAM UPDATE – Staff Report
Tourism & Community Promotions Manager Jacqui Clark-Charlesworth
provided an update on the Tourism Program.
7. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 7:29 p.m. The next Regular Meeting of the
Promotional Coordinating Committee is scheduled for March 13, 2024 at 5:30
p.m. in the Council Hearing Room at City Hall, 990 Palm Street, San Luis
Obispo.
