This portion of Higuera St. is adjacent to State Highway 227, currently under CalTrans jurisdiction. However, this easement will accommodate future sidewalk improvements associated with a future widening and CalTrans has previously stated that these types of easements (only for pedestrian purposes) do not need to accepted by the State of California, since they are primarily interested in the vehicular traffic lanes. Please have the Mayor execute the acceptance certificate and record the deed, in accordance with the pertinent resolution authorizing the Mayor's acceptance of same.
