WHEREAS, the undersigned own certain real property commonly known as 1780 Conejo
Drive, and
WHEREAS, the undersigned have requested and been granted a temporary exception by the
City's Public Works Director from the requirement of installing certain public improvements on
said property, conditioned upon execution of a covenant by the property; owner agreeing to install
said improvements at such time in the future as the City may request same.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the granting of permission to temporarily defer
installation of certain public improvements consisting of public sidewalk, per City standards and
specifications, as conditioned by Administrative Use Permit 160 -01.
The undersigned owners) of property hereinafter described hereby covenant with the City of Sap.
Luis Obispo to install all of said public improvements without cost to City upon thirty (30) days
written notice from the City of San Luis Obispo requesting that said improvements be installed.
Said property is located in the City of San Luis Obispo, County of San Luis Obispo, State of
California, and is described as follows:.
1. Lot 14, Block 3, Tract 30, per Map Book 5, at Page 49 in the office of the. County
Recorder, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California.
2. Commonly known as 1780 Conejo Avenue
This covenant shall run with the land and shall be binding upon the undersigned owners, their
heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.

Dear. I& McCluskey;
I am writing regarding the home that we recently purchased at 1780 Conejo Ave. We are
planning to do a small addition and update the home and yard.
In the process of applying for a Administrative Use Permit (A 160 -01) it ha_ s come to our
attention that a sidewalk shall be - installed along the property frontage per City standards.
We are requesting a Covenant to defer installation of public improvements.
There are several reasons for this request:
1. If you go through the San Luis Dr. area, you'll see that this is a mature , attractive
and pristine neighborhood. The few newer sidewalks that have been installed take
away from the look and feel that now exists.
2. The yard that we are attempting to use as a model (the Woods property at the
comer of Corralitos and Andrews) is a very clean. open look. The present sidewalk
requirements would distract from our end goal.
3. By waiting until the whole neighborhood is to be done, maybe an attractive plan
can be developed that will enhance instead of detract from what is so unique a
family neighborhood
