WHEREAS, the undersigned own certain real property commonly known as 1956
Corralitos, and
WHEREAS, the undersigned have requested and been granted a temporary exception by the
Public Works Director from the requirement of installing certain public improvements on said
property conditioned upon execution of a covenant by the property owner agreeing to install said
improvements at such time in the future as the city may request same.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the granting of permission to temporarily defer
installation of certain public improvements consisting of: Public sidewalk along the frontage per
city standards in effect at the time that construction is required. The scope of work shall include
an ADA sidewalk extension behind the existing driveway approach as necessary. The scope of
work shall include any alterations to existing landscaping, grading, drainage, or retaining walls
as necessary to install sidewalk. Street trees shall be placed to accommodate future sidewalk.
The undersigned owner(s) of property hereinafter described hereby covenant with the City of San
Luis Obispo to install all of said public improvements without cost to City upon 30 days written
notice from the City of San Luis Obispo requesting that said improvements be installed.
Said property is located in the City of San Luis Obispo, County of San Luis Obispo, State of
California, and is described as follows:
County of SLO Tract 43 Block 3 Lot 5 as recorded in Book 5 of Maps at Page 62
in the Office of the County Recorder in said county.

3. Commonly known as 1956 Corralitos
This covenant shall run with the land and shall be binding upon the undersigned owners, their
heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.

Re: 1956 Corralitos/ Poe Residence Addition
To Whom it May Concern,
We would like to formally request a deferment of the required street
improvements per the plan check dated April 8, 2004 for the residential addition project
located at the above address. It is our understanding that this is the route that most other
similar projects in this vicinity have gone as there are little to no sidewalks currently
present in this neighborhood. Attached is the copy of the requested deed so that you may
prepare the necessary covenant agreement. Roger Thorndyke is deceased. Virginia
Thorndyke is currently in an elderly care facility and her daughter Nancy Poe currently
has her power of attorney and is having the work done to the house. Please give me a call
if you have any questions.
