HomeMy WebLinkAboutD-178 Various Salm & I Ctc Recorded 08/03/1953QUITCLAIM DEED Project No. Calif. 4 -151 -F Water Facilities San Luis Obispo, California H(700 }. x&4' THIS DEED, made this day of , 1953, by and between the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (hereinafter c�lled the "Government "), acting by and through the Housing and Home Finance Administrator (hereinafter called the "Administrator "), and the City of San Luis Obispo, (hereinafter called the "City"), WIINESSETH: WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Public Law No. 849, 76th Congress approved October 14, 1940, as amended by Public Law No. 42, 77th Congress, approved April 299 1941, Public Law No. 137, 77th Congress, approved June 28, 1941, Public Law No. 409, 77th Congress, approved January 21, 1942, Public Law No. 522, 77th Congress, approved April 10, 1942, Public Law No. 119, 78th Congress, approved July 7, 1943, Public Law No. 150, 78th Congress, approved July 15, 1943, and Public Law No. 279, 78th Congress, approved April 1, 1944, (hereinafter called the "Act "), the Government has acquired, under its Project No. Calif. 4- 151 -F, certain water supply facilities, hereinafter described, located in the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Public Law No. 152, 81st Congress, approved June 30, 1949, and Reorganization Plan No. 17 of 1950, effective May 24, 1950, functions. respecting the utilization and disposition of such property are vested in the Administrator; and /119 WHEREAS, the Government, pursuant to the authority conferred by the Act, and the City entered into a certain Lease of War Public Works, dated as of January 1, 1945, (WA- bcf -7 -43) under which the City has the option as of c certain dates and for corresponding amounts as shown therein to purchase all M the right, title and interest of the Government in and to such water supply coo facilities, provided all accrued rentals have been paid to the date of exercise t.� P 78 -0- of•the.option;_and. PmE 93 WAS, the City has paid all rentals required under said lease in the aggregate sum of $84,450 and the Government has thereby received the full option price contemplated under the transaction.
