FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION of the issuance of '*.his revocable permit to allow
an encroachment temporarily within the adopted right -of -way set -back area for
California Blvd., said encroachment consisting of: a monument sign (8 feet
high, 5 feet wide) centered on a point lying 6' northerly of the northerly
right -of -way line of Monterey St. and 4 -' easterly of the easterly right -of -way
line of California Blvd. the undersigned owners of the real property
herein -after described, hereby covenant with the City of San Luis Obispo to
remove said improvements without cost to said City upon thirty (30) days

If the owner does not remove the encroachment authorized herein when

requested by the City, City may proceed to require removal under the Municipal
Code nuisance provisions and to assess the cost of said removal against the
real property described herein. Owners further acknowledge that, in the event
of such removal by City, City is not liable for any damages to the encroachment
or to any adjacent real or personal property.
Owner further agrees to hold harmless City from any claims, suits or losses
of any kind alleged to have arisen out of the maintenance or placement of said
encroachment and to indemnify City for any and c "l costs or judgments relating
to said claims, suits or losses, including attorney's fees.
Said property is located in the City of San -_uis Obispo, County of San Luis
Obispo, State of California, and is described a% follows:

3. That portion of Lots 1 and 2 in Block 4E of the City of San Luis
Obispo, in the City of San Luis Obispo, County of San Luis Obispo,
State of California, as shown on map filed in Book A, Page 168 of Maps,
in the office of the County Recorder of said county and that,portion of
Lot 110" of C.H. Phillips Addition to the city of San Luis Obispo, in
said city, County and State, as shown or, map filed in Book A, Page 49
of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County described
as a whole as follows:

Beginning at the intersection of the northwesterly line of
Monterey Street with the northeasterly line of Ida Street (known
as California Boulevard), as shown on seid Maps; thence along said
Monterey Street, North 49045' East 50 feet to the most southerly
corner of the land described in the deed to H.D. Faulstich and
wife, recorded December 28, 1925 in Book 9, Page 182, Official
Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said county;
thence northwesterly along the southwesterly line of said land of
Faulstich to the southeasterly line of Palm Street., 80 feet wide,
as shown on said map of C.H. Phillips Aadition to the City of San
Luis Obispo; thence southwesterly along said Palm Street and its
southwesterly prolongation to the southwesterly line of said lot
1; thence along the southwesterly line of said lots 1 and 2, South
36022' East 263 feet more or less to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
