HomeMy WebLinkAboutD-405 Johnson Ave. Recorded 12/05/1960QUOTCILAIMM DEED THIS INDENTURE, made this day of Vol 1101' PA -UE229 , 1960, by and between the County of San Luis Obispo, a political corporation and one of the counties of the State of California, the party of the first part hereinafter termed County, and the City of San Luis Obispo, a municipal corporation located in the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, the party of the second part, hereinafter termed City: WITNESSETH: That said County, for and in consideration of a valuable consideration, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby quitclaim to said City of San Luis Obispo, those certain lots, pieces or parcels of real property situate in the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, and more particularly described as follows, to -wit: BEGINNING at a point on the northeasterly line of Johnson Avenue distant thereon N 360 22' W, 20.00 feet from the intersection of said line of Johnson Avenue with the southeast line of Lot 10, all as said street and lot are shown on the map of the Deleissiguez Tract, recorded in Book A of Maps at page 95, records of said county; thence along the said line of Johnson Avenue S 36° 22' E, 654.01 feet to a point on the northwesterly line of Bishop Street of the Goldtree Vineyard Tract as shown on themap thereof recorded in Book 1 Record of Surveys at page 14, records of said County; thence continuing along said line of Johnson Avenue, southeasterly (the bearing shown of last said map being S 360 25' E), 229.72 feet to the most southerly corner of the parcel of land described in the deed to the County of San Luis Obispo, recorded in Volume 188 of Official Records at page 354, records of said County; thence along the southeasterly line of last said parcel of land Northeasterly 16.00 feet; thence, parallel with the aforesaid line of Johnson Avenue, Northwesterly 229.71 feet to a point on the aforesaid northwesterly line of Bishop Street; thence N 360 43' 02" W, 654.02 feet to a point on the northwesterly line of the parcel of land, lying partly in Lot 11 of the above mentioned Deleissiguez Tract described in the deed to the County of San Luis Obispo, recorded in Volume 22 of Deeds at page 176, records of said County; thence, along the last said northwesterly line, S 530 38' W, 12.00 feet to the point of beginning. LUIS OBISPO The following resolution is hereby offered and read: 60 V.fHEREAS, on the 6thday of September 1960, . the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Luis Obispo, State .of California, duly adopted a resolution and notice of intention to quitclaim the hereinafter described real property to the City of San Luis Obispo, said quitclaiming to be c onsummated on October 3, 1960, at 2 o'clock p.m. in the Supervisors Chambers, and WHEREAS, at said time and place the Board of Supervisors duly met to consummate said quitclaiming and there was no opposition to said quitclaiming, and WHEREAS,, this resolution Is adopted by a four - fifths vote of the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Luis Obispo, and WHEREAS, the quitclaiming of said real property is necessitated by the widening of Johnson Avenue, which is in the interest of the County of San Luis Obispo and the County General Hospital, and of the public, since the portion to be widened is located in front of the County General Hospital, and WHEREAS, in order to widen said Johnson Avenue at said place, it is necessary to locate a portion of said widened avenue on property now owned by the County of San Luis Obispo, and MEREAS, the City of San Luis Obispo has requested that the County convey to the City that portion of the county owned property that is required in order to widen said avenue, and WHEREAS, Government Code Section 25365 authorizes the County of San Luis Obispo to quitclaim said real property to the City of San Luis Obispo. NO% THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED by the Board of :Supervisors of the County of San Luis Obispo, ',State of California, as follows: 1.
