The Congregational Conference of Southern California
and the Southwest, a corporation, holds title to prop-
erty located at 1245 Los Osos Road in San Luis Obispo,
on which the Congregational Church is located.
I am authorizing the Chairman of the Board of Trustees
of the Congregational Church of San Luis Obispo, Chester
O. Bishop, and trustees, Edward F. Harrington, Jim Dovey,
Jr., Fred L. Glenn, R. Lee Burkett and Phillip K. Olson,
and Joe Hernandez, vice moderator of the church, to rep-
resent our corporation in negotiating a mutually satis-
factory settlement with the City of San Luis Obispo re-
garding the dedication of a portion of our property
located on Los Osos Road and the construction of curbs,
gutters, sidewalks, and other related concerns.

Congregational Church
The undersigned, hereinafter called Church, hereby offers to dedicate
to the City of San Luis Obispo, hereinafter called City, real property
in the City of San Luis Obispo, described below and shown on the sketch
attached hereto:
That portion of Lot 59 of Stratton's Subdivision of the Ranchos
Canada de Los Osos and La Laguna in the County of San Luis
Obispo, State of California, according to the map thereof
recorded in Book "A" at Page 83 of Maps, records of said
county, described as follows:
The Northeasterly 17 feet of the parcel of land described
in the deed recorded in Book 1223 at Page 239 in the office
of said county recorder. Said 17 foot strip of land is
adjacent and parallel to Los Osos Road,
, uponnthe following terms and conditions.
A. PURCHASE PRICE: The purchase price shall consist of improvements,.
further defined in this offer, to be installed and paid for by the City.
B. ESCROW: An escrow,is to be opened in a title company in the City
of Sam Obispo. The escrow instructions shall be in conformity
with the terms of this offer. All escrow charges are to be.paid.for,
by the City including the premium for any title insurance policy.
C. STATE OF TITLE: The title to said real property as delivered to
City shall be f ree and clear of any and all encumbrances, except the
lien of property taxes not delinquent.
D. POSSESSION: Possession of said real property shall not be delivered
to City' until the escrow is closed in accordance with the terms of this
offer.

E. TIME: Both the City and Church shall use their best efforts to
close the escrow within 30 days from the date this offer is accepted.
F. IMPROVEMENTS: On or before December 31, 1970, City agrees to con-
struct curb, gutter and sidewalk across the Los Osos Road frontage of
the property in accordance with City standards and to pave out the street
to the new gutter. City agrees to make double driveway at south end of
present parking lot in addition to double driveway at present entrance.
City agrees to provide all necessary engineering in connection with the
installation of the above improvements. This obligation is to be of no
concern to the escrow agent and shall be handled outside of escrow.
G. CONDITIONS: Upon acceptance of this offer by the City, the City
agrees to conduct a final inspection of the existing Church building
and to grant permission for installation of the permanent electrical
service and meter.
Church agrees to have temporary pole removed upon completion of the
permanent electrical service installation.
