SUBJECT
Submittal of Plans and Specifications for "Park Refurbishment Project:
Santa Rosa Park Sewer Laterals; City Plan No. N -44R."
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Plans and Specifications, Authorize Staff to Advertise for Bids and
Authorize CAO to Award Contract.
BACKGROUND:
The existing sewer laterals in Santa Rosa Park are in a deteriorated condition,
requiring excessive maintenance and posing a health and safety problem when
they break or plug and cause a sewage spill. This project is an emergency
repair and was not included in the Capital Replacement Plan.
This project has been given an EIR clearance by the Planning Departmant.
Status: Categorical Exemption.
SIGNIFICANT IMPACT:
Base Bid: $15,500
Contingencies 11550
Total: $17,000
Money will need to be transferred from the Capital Outlay Fund CRP
appropriation once bids are received.
CONSEQUENCE OF NOT TAKING ACTION:
The substandard condition will remain, which may pose a health and safety
problem, and which requires excessive maintenance.
ACTION RECOMMENDED:
Approve plans and specifications, authorize staff to advertise for bids and
authorize CAO to award the contract.
