RESOLUTION NO. (1988 SERIES)

EXPRESSING THE CITY'S GRATZME AND APPRECIATION
TO BILL L. TERRA FOR HIS LONG AND DEDICATED
SERVICE TO THE CITY AND ITS CITIZENS.
WHEREAS, Bill L. Terra began his employment with the City of San Luis Obispo
on February 11, 1949, and
WHEREAS, Bill has spent 39 years as an equipment operator on all manner
of equipment from street sweeper to backhoe to loader to you name it, and
WHEREAS, Hill started out earning the princely sum of 510.10 1day gradually
increasing to a current much more princely sum, and
WHEREAS, Bill has served under 3 Public Works Directors, 5 water Superintendents
and a dozen foremen and leadmen, and
WHEREAS, Bill has established an enviable reputation throughout. the community
as%a hard - working, competent, and knowledgeable equipment operator, and
WHEREAS, Bill has achieved all his City goals and has outlasted all of his
contemporaries, and
WHEREAS, Bill has determined that it is time to take a well earned rest,'and
WHEREAS, Bill's knowledge and ability will be missed by the City and by his .
fellow employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this City Council wishes to express its
gratitude and appreciation to Bill L. Terra for his 39 years of service and the
contributions he has made to the community.
