SUBJECT: Appointments to the Personnel Board
The Council Subcommittee (Reiss/Pinard) considered all applications and
interviewed 7 applicants for one vacancy and two terms expiring as of
3/31/88 on the Personnel Board. The Subcommittee would like to recommend
the following reappointments; terms to expire March 31, 1990:
Ted Wheeler
Robert Sorensen
We would also like to recommend the following new appointment to fill an
unexpired term ending March 31, 1989:
Barry Whelchel

SUBJECT Appointment to the Board of Directors, A.A.A. DATE Feb. 4, 1988
I am requesting that the Council approve the appointment of Mr. U. Dann Torrance
to the Board of Directors of the Central Coast Commission for Senior Citizens,
as the City of San Luis Obispo is one of the appointing organizations under
the Commission's bylaws.
Mr. Torrance is over the age of 60 and has the ability to meet the requirements
of the Board. For your information, a copy of the memo from the A.A.A.
requesting an appointment, is attached along with a list of the position's
requirements. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

1. - Has responsibility for the legal , fiscal , and administrative functions

according to state and federal prescription.
