HomeMy WebLinkAbout03/01/1988, 1 - APPEAL 1335 & 137 CONT CU To Whom It May Concern, Subject : Proposed Property Development 1335 and 1337 Broad Street San Luis Obispo, Ca 93401 My home of twenty years abuts the subject property development on the west side. Mr. Jim Dummit, of the development team, has kept me informed of his plans during his lengthly attempt to obtain approvals to proceed with the project. I totally approve of the plans to upgrade the structures and to install site-improvements and landscaping. I feel , both as a neighbor and an architect , that the improvements will be a much desired local and community asset. Frankly, I would prefer not to view this particular property in its current state from my home for the next twenty years . Your positive consideration of Mr. Dummit ' s proposal would be sincerely appreciated by me and my family. Thank You, Peter K /Pbill Ds ,, architect 676 Pismo Street San Luis Obispo, Ca 93401 INN ROLAND C. MADDALENA, INC. My preferance of the two alternative proposals is to relocate the present structures to the rear of his property; and provide for a landscaped parking area in front. This is a more favorable alternative because it will give both of our properties a G more "open space" feeling. I hope that the removal of that awful avacado tree is in the '3 plans. Because of it I must sweep the adjacent walkway daily and unplug my rain gutter several times yearly. i Thanks for your consideration. Yo'rs sincerely, i RO C. LENA, INC. i Roland C. We have mpt with Mr. Dummit and have reviewed the plans for his new project and want it on record that we support his development plan as proposed. We feel his design is very computable with the neighborhood look, and hope the Council will not prevent this project from being built, as it will replace the most run-down buildings on the block with a much more attractive building., and will add to the community, not detract from it, as the property does now.
