As such, Councilman Settle is recommending the following.: Charles Crotser - reappointment (term to expire 3/31/90) Donna Duerk - reappointment (term to expire 3/31/90) Richard-Schmidt - reappointment (term to expire 3/31/90) . Mayor Dunin would like to recommend the following: Randy Bullock (term to expire 3/31/90) Charles Crotser - reappointment (term to expire 3/31/90.) Donna Duerk - reappointment (term to expire 3/31/90) In view of the differing recommendations, we intend to propose separate motions for each appointment.. As an active member of the San Luis Obispo community, I have a strong desire to participate in determining the future direction of our City and the surrounding area. And, as a member of a family with four generations in San Luis Obispo, I am commited to maintaining San Luis Obispo in a manner and fashion that will provide future generations with the same aesthetic and economic opportunities which we currently enjoy. My past and present involvment in local service organizations, and on their Boards of Directors, indicates my level of commitment to this City and my ability to work and function within the framework of such committees. I have a basic familiarity with the planning process in San Luis Obispo, our General Plan and it's long term goals. In the past I have proven my ability to work within the parameters of the General Plan and in conjunction with applicants, the public and the members of the City Planning Department. As a San Luis Obispo businessman for the past 18 years, a current tenant (commercial) and landlord (residential), I feel I have a broad base of experience to guide my decisions if appointed to serve on the Planning Commission. 7. Previous service on any San Luis Obispo advisory board. I served as a member of the San Luis Obispo Planning Commission from 1979 through 1984, and as Chairperson thereof for the 1983 year. During that period of time the Planning Commission was involved in such General Plan element reviews as Circulation and Parks & Recreation, as well as goundwork for the Solar Energy element and the Hillside Planning review. In addition, the Edna-Islay Specific Plan was examined, completed and forwarded to the City Council with the Commissions recommendations.
