Re : Neighborhood Notification
It came to my attention several months ago of concerns with
the commercial development on upper Monterey Street and the
impacts of that development on adjacent properties on San
Luis Drive.
I relayed the concerns to the staff only to find out the
project had received final approval several months prior and
was basically a "dead subject" . This is most unfortunate ,
but perhaps a lesson can be learned .
I - realize we can 't notify every neighborhood of pending
projects however, there are only a few which abut commercial
areas and have the potential for conflict .
I would therefore request Council support in directing staff
to return to us with some means of notification in the
future. This request is not intended to be a time consuming
effort on behalf of staff.
