Submittal of Plans and Specifications for "Sewer Main Reconstruction
Projects: Flora St. and Kentucky Ave. Easements, City Plan Nos.
R-22R, and R-23R. "
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve Plans and Specifications, Authorize Staff to Advertise for
Bids, and Authorize CAO to Award Contract if Bids are Within
Engineer's Estimate.
BACKGROUND:
The existing sewer line in Flora St. and Kentucky Ave. easements are in
deteriorated conditions which require periodic maintenance. This
project will repair and line the existing sewerlines. This project is
listed in the Capital Improvement Plan on page E-7.
This project has been given an EIR clearance by the Planning
Department. Status: Categorical Exemption.
SIGNIFICANT IMPACT:
Base Bid: $73 , 000
Contingencies: 7 . 000
Total: $80,000
This project is included in the Capital Improvement Plan of the 1989/91
Financial Plan (page E-7) .
CONSEQUENCE OF NOT TARING ACTION:
The substandard condition will remain and costs may be higher at a
later date.
ACTION RECOMMENDED:
Approve plans and specifications, authorize staff to advertise for
bids, and authorize CAO to award the contract if bids are within the
Engineer's Estimate.
