discussions regarding Nacimiento as a supplemental water source as recommended.

Consideration of confirming costs to property owner for curb, gutter and sidewalk
improvements at 521 Funston (continued from 12/04/90).
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt resolution confirming costs for improvements as
recommended.

2. MOVING ELECTION DATE (VOGES /324 - 20 min.)
Consideration of moving the election date and pending election issues.
RECOMMENDATION:
1) By motion, determine that the City's Regular Election should be retained in
November of the odd - numbered years; OR
2) By motion, determine that it would be preferable to move the City's Regular
Election date to the even - numbered years. IF SO, THEN:
A) Determine if the election should be in June or November of the even
years; OR
B) Direct staff to prepare the necessary Charter Amendment for
consideration by the voters at either:
a) A Special Election (month to be determined); OR
b) As part of the November 1991 ballot.

Consideration of an analysis of the WAT.E.R. initiative (continued from 12/4/90).
RECOMMENDATION:
1) Receive the staff report analyzing the potential impacts of the WAT.E.R.
Initiative and direct the City Clerk to place the measure on the ballot for action by
the voters of San Luis Obispo.
2) Formally oppose the WAT.E.R. Initiative and direct staff to draft the
appropriate ballot argument against the measure based on the key points outlined
in the staff report as recommended.
