Council Liaison Subcommittee to the Personnel Board
SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT TO THE PERSONNEL BOARD
With the resignation of Barry Whelchel, there is one vacancy on the Personnel Board.
Since there were only four applications in the current file, a display ad was published in the
Telegram-Tribune requesting volunteers. There was no response.
On April 8, 1991 the Council Liaison Subcommittee (Rappa/Pinard) to the Personnel
Board interviewed four applicants. Personnel Board Chairman Robert Sorensen
participated in the interviews.
The Subcommittee is pleased to recommend Linda Barra for appointment to fill an
unexpired term through 3/31/92. The Subcommittee requests that in order to give
continuity for long-term projects, Ms. Barra's appointment be extended for a full four year
appointment to expire on 3/31/96.
A copy of Ms. Barra's application is attached. Copies of other applications are available
in the Council Office.
