SUBJECT: GP/PD 1455: The correction ofdthe map for Ordinance no.
1175 (1990 Series) to reflect the actual area rezoned
from R-3-H to C-C-H-S. The rezoning area is a portion of
a one-third-acre site on the southwest corner of Dana and
Nipomo Streets.
CAO RECOMMENDATION
Give final passage to Ordinance No. 1227 (1992 Series) , rezoning a
portion of a site on the southwest corner of Dana and Nipomo from
R-3-H to C-C-H-S.
DISCUSSION
The attached ordinance was passed to print on October 20, 1992 .
SIGNIFICANT IMPACTS
A negative declaration of environmental impact was granted by the
director in December 1990; no further study is needed.
CONSEQUENCES OF NOT TARING THE RECOMMENDED ACTION
If the ordinance is not passed, the map error will remain. It will
appear that the entire 1/3-acre site was changed to C-C-H-S.

ORDINANCE NO. 1227 (1992 SERIES)
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO
AMENDING THE ZONING REGULATIONS MAP TO DESIGNATE
AN AREA ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF DANA
AND NIPOMO STREETS AS CENTRAL COMMERCIAL, WITH A
HISTORICAL AND SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OVERLAY (C-C-H-S)
(GP/R 1455)
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a hearing to consider
the zoning .map amendment request GP/R 1455, for property shown on
Exhibit A. attached; and
WHEREAS, the City Council makes the following findings;
Findings•
1. The proposed zoning map amendment will not adversely affect
the health, safety, or welfare of persons living or working in
the vicinity.
2. The map amendment is appropriate at the proposed location and
will be compatible with surrounding land uses.
3. The map amendment conforms to the general plan and meets
zoning ordinance requirements.
4. The Community Development Director has determined that the
proposed map amendment will not have a significant effect on
the environment and has granted a negative declaration of
environmental impact.
5. The "Special Considerations" overlay zone is to require
Planning Commission review of impacts on the creek and
compatibility with the adjacent residential neighborhood.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of San Luis
Obispo as follows:
SECTION 1. The Zoning map amendment GP/R 1455 for
property shown on Exhibit A, attached, is hereby approved.
SECTION 2. This ordinance, together with the names of
councilmembers voting for and against, shall be published once in
full, at least (3) days prior to its final passage, in the
Telegram-Tribune, a newspaper published and circulated in this
city. This ordinance shall go into effect at the expiration of
thirty (30) days after its final passage.

October , 1992, on motion of Council Member Roalman , seconded
