SUBJECT: Appointment to Advisory Body (Jack House Committee)
CAO RECOMMENDATION:
By motion, appoint Mr. Jack W. Robasciotti to fill vacancy of "Member at
Large" on the Jack House Advisory Committee for an unspecified term.
DISCUSSION:
With the vacancy of the County Historical Society position in late 1992, the
Jack House Committee became one member short of their authorized seven members.
The Grant Deed which originally transferred the Jack House property to the City
is explicit as to the expertise requirements of the Committee members and it was
specified that a member from the County Historical Society fill one of the "Member
at Large" positions.
Mr. Jack W. Robasciotti was recommended by Dan Krieger from the Historical
Society and has indicated his willingness and desire to fill the vacancy on the Jack
House Committee (see attached application). His interest in sharing and preserving
the history of our community will be of extreme assistance to the remainder of the
Committee as well as to the program of making the Jack House more available to the
residents of San Luis Obispo and area tourists. j
CONCURRENCE:
The Jack House Committee fully supports this appointment.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Appoint Mr. Jack W. Robasciotti as "Member at Large" to the Jack House
Advisory Committee for an unspecified term.
