SUBJECT: PLANNING COMMISSION APPOINTMENT RECOMMENDATION
RECOMMENDATION:
By motion, appoint Sandi Sigurdson to the Planning Commission to fill an unexpired term
to end 3/31/94.
DISCUSSION:
A vacancy exists on the Planning Commission due to Fred Peterson's resignation effective
6/1/93. All applicants have been previously interviewed by the Subcommittee and
commission chair, except one application received in June (does not live inside city limits).
After careful review of these 13 applicants, the Council Subcommittee has selected Sandi
Sigurdson for recommendation to the City Council to fill this unexpired term.
Ms. Sigurdson's application is attached. All other applications are available in the Council
Office.

Honorable Mayor and City Council Members:
I am writing this letter in reference to your upcoming appointment to the
Planning Commission. On behalf of the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce,
we are pleased to support the nomination of Sandi Sigurdson.
In our association with Sandi, we find her to be intelligent, open-minded and very
professional. She would be a great asset to the Planning Commission in that she
assists in building bridges between all segments of our community. She is
dedicated, hardworking, and displays great interest in, and concern for, the future
of San Luis Obispo.
It is for these reasons, the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce endorses the
