SUBJECT: Appointment of new BIA Board of Directors
CAO RECOMMENDATION:
By motion, approve the appointment of the newly elected
Business Improvement Association Board of Directors .
BACKGROUND:
The Business Improvement Association completed the
annual elections in February for the Board of Directors
positions with terms expiring on March 31, 1995. In
accordance with the by-laws, the BIA membership has
voted on a slate of candidates to appoint to the Board
of Directors for the expiring terms.
The ballots were tabulated by the Nominating Committee
and the election results confirmed by the Board of
Directors at the February meeting. The new Board
members need City Council approval before they can
assume office.
The following BIA members were elected to serve until
March 31, 1997:
Peter Terhune Woolpert, Toews, Terhune 1026 Palm
Pierre Rademaker Rademaker Design 738 Higuera
Correne. Cotta Express 87.7 Higuera
Mike Spangler AVC/SLO Metal 664 Marsh
Ann Reeves-Tolbert 'Ann' s 895 Monterey
RECOMMENDATION:
Appoint Peter Terhune, Pierre Rademaker, Correne Cotta; ,
Make Spangler and Ann Reeves-Tolbert tQ the BIA Board
of Directors.
