SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE
TO THE ECONOMIC VITALITY CORPORATION
OF SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY
RECOMMENDATION
Appoint two council members to serve as representative and alternate to the Economic Vitality
Corporation(EVC)of San Luis Obispo County.
DISCUSSION
At the January 21, 1997 City Council meeting, Council directed staff to agendize the appointment of
representatives to the EVC.
Because the EVC falls within the Regional category under the Council Liaison Subcommittees, the
appointments would be representative and alternate. Assignment changes for this subcommittee would
occur in December along with other Council Liaison Subcommittee assignments.
NOTE
In a related matter, I would request that Council consider scheduling a study session with the EVC in
late March or early April to go over their business plan. This request can be considered under the
communication section of the agenda, if desired.
