DISCUSSION Two tenors will expire on 3/31/97: Jack Davidson and James Neville. After advertising and interviewing applicants, the Council Subcommittee is pleased to recommend the candidates as listed above. Copies of their applications are attached. Also provide hands-on training with staff, attending actual groups and providing in-service training. Rehabilitation Therapist - Atascadero State Hospital 11/86 - present Responsibilities include applying therapeutic recreation knowledge, activities, and techniques to male adults with mental illness. Assessing individual needs, determining appropriate objectives, developing activities to meet objectives, and conducting various forms of group and individual therapy. Participating in treatment team conferences regarding rehabilitative needs of the of the patient. Working with student interns as needed. Rehabilitation Therapy Service Chair - Atascadero State Hospital 1/89 - 1/91 Call, preside at, and be responsible for agenda of all general service meetings. Work cooperatively with the Chief of the Service to insure compliance with service rules and regulations and standard of practice for all service members. Serve as ex-officio member of all service committees. Review all request for special peer reviews with the Chief of the Service to determine need for further formal action, co-chair the Service Advisory Council.
