SUBJECT: CANCELLATION OF AUGUST 3, 1999 REGULAR MEETING
CAO RECOMMENDATION
Cancel the August 3, 1999 Regular Meeting.
DISCUSSION
Since 1994 it has been the practice of the City Council to cancel the first regular meeting in the
month of August. This custom allows the Council and staff members to plan summer vacations.
It is not anticipated that the cancellation of the August 3`d meeting will produce any significant
delays in the conduct of City business, however, if an urgent item needs to be presented to the
Council for direction,it may be necessary to schedule an adjourned meeting later in the month.
